GWRAVOG (GWAR-HAFOG), a hamlet chiefly in the parish of LLANLLEONVEL, but partly in the parish of LLANAVAN-VECHAN, hundred of BUILTH, county of BRECKNOCK, SOUTH WALES, 5 miles (W. by S.) from Balkh, containing, in the Llanlleonvel portion of it, 78 inhabitants, the population of the remainder being returned with the parish of Llanavan-Vechan. The name of this place signifies literally " the summer bank," which is partly descriptive of it, though the surface chiefly forms part of the northern declivity of a well-wooded eminence, a branch of the Eppynt hills, on the northern side of which flows the river Irvon.
