MYNACHDU (MYNACHDU), a hamlet, in that part of the parish of LLANYCRWYS which is in the higher division of the hundred of
CAYO, county of CARMARTHEN, SOUTH WALES, 5 miles (W.) from Lampeter; containing 152 inhabitants. From the name, which
signifies a monastery, it is probable that a cell to some ancient abbey was formerly situated here. Sliffht traces of a
Roman road, that passed from Liana) to Llanvidr-ar-y-Bryn, are still discernible in the vicinity.
