PWLLYWRACH (PWLL-Y-WRACH), a hamlet, in the parish and hundred of TADWITH, county of BRECKNOCK, SOUTH WALES, 4 miles (S. E. by S.) from Tillgarth; containing 171 inhabitants. This hamlet, the name of which signifies " the hag's pool," lies in a deep valley, formed by the Tdlgarth mountain on the east, and that of Mynydd Troed on the west, and at the source of the Rhiangoll stream, which afterwards pursues its course into the Vale of Llanvihangel-Cwm-d6. The rateable annual value has been returned at £947: the commutation of the tithes of the hamlet is included in one made for the borough of Tillgarth, and the hamlets of Trevecca and Forest.
