ALESHAM, (Norfolk) 97 cm. 119 mm. from London, is a populous, but poor T. consisting chiefly of knitters of Stockings. 'Tis about a quarter of a m. in length, and not much broader. A court is kept here for the Duchy of Lancaster, the manor having been granted, by E. III. to J. of Gaunt, D. of Lancaster. Its Mt. is S. Fair is Mar. 12. The r. Thyrn runs by it.
