AYSTON, (Rutland) near Uppingham-park; was in the R. of K. Edward I. in the family of Sir Will. Murdon; after which it
came by marriage to that of Boyville, and thence it passed also by marriage to Thomas Restwold; but, of late, it came to
the family of George Brudenel, Earl of Cardigan, which has a seat here.
