BELGRAVE, (Leicestershire) 2 m. N. of Leicester, is a pleasant fruitful village on the banks of the Soare, where many
persons of note have had seats and estates; particularly William de Belgrave, to whom the Lp. was given by the E. of
Leicester, to hold as of his honour of Leicester; and in the Ch. are several monuments and arms of the Belgraves family.
