BLACKDON, (Somerset) bet. Atbridge and Pensford, bel. for several successions to the Martins, whose ancestor came over
with Will. the Conq. from Tours in France; but by marriage passed into the family of Ld. Audley; and being forfeited in
the R. of Rich. II. was given to Holland, the E. of Huntington. Some lands and tenements here bel. formerly to a nunnery
at Taunton, but were given at the Ref. to Sir Thomas Darcy.
