BOLTON-EAST, WEST, and LITTLE, (Yorkshire, N.R.) near Midlam and Wenslaw-dale, are all three the Lps. of the Scropes: one branch of which had their chief seat at East Bolton, where he built a castle, and founded a chantry. It came afterwards, by marriage, into the family of the Marq. of Winchester; to whose descendants it has, ever since the revolution, given the title of D. Henry Jenkins was of this p. who lived to be 169 years old.
