BOWDEN MAGNA, (Leicestershire) near Market-Harborough, on the N. side of the r. Welland, was given by K. Henry III. to
William de Cantelupe; but falling into the hands of Edward III. he gave it to his brother the E. of Cornwall, and after
his death to Jeffery de Scroop.
