BRATTON-CASTLE, (Wiltshire) on the E. side of Westbury, shews the remains of a strong fortification, where the Danes, after being defeated in a battle just by, held out against the English 14 days, being seated on a high hill, which commands all the country round, and is encompassed with two ditches, within which several pieces of old iron arms have been dug out or raised up by the plough.
