BROMSGROVE, (Worcestershire) 87 cm. and 118 mm. from London, is an ancient Bor. near the rise of the r. Salwarp, which once sent members to Pt. and had a chantry. It is governed by a bailiff, recorder, ald. &c. has both a woollen and linnen mf. a ch. s. settled by the late Sir Thomas Cook, for teaching, cloathing, and putting out 12 boys apprentices, and consists of at least 400 houses. It is the centre of the roads to Coventry, Warwick, Worcester, and Shrewsbury, and has a Mt. on Tu. and Fairs May 3, June 24, July 25, August 29.
