CASTOR, (Lincolnshire) 120 m. from London, being built by Hengist, on a tract of ground which he encompassed with an ox's hide cut into thongs, pursuant to a grant of Vortigern; was therefore by the Saxons called Thuang-Castor, i.e. Thong- Castle. The Mt. is on M. and Fair Oct. 1. It stands bet. Binbrook and Glanford-Bridge.
