CHESWICK, (Middlesex) on the S.W. side of Hammersmith, on the Thames, is graced with the noble seat of the E. of Burlington. Here are 2 manors; one bel. to the prebendary of Cheswick in the Cathedral of St. Paul's, which, together with the mansion house, &c. has been let, ever since the R. of Q. Eliz. to the D. and C. of Westminster; the scholars of which formerly used to repair, in times of sickness, to a good house here.
