CLEYDON, (Oxfordshire) a little above Clatercote, is the most N. village of the Co. and noted for having a spring in one of the streets, which flows all the year round, but most plentifully in the driest weather; and for producing great plenty of that called the pyrites-aureus, or golden fire-stone; and also the asteria, or star-stone.
