CODFORD ST. MARY and ST. PETER, (Wiltshire) which has a bridge over the Willyburn, bet. Upton and Badhampton, was, in the R. of Edw. I. the estate of the Giffards; and being forfeited in the next, was given, by Edw. III. to Maurice Ld. Berkley; from whose family it passed to that of Ld. Cobham; but, in the R. of Hen. VI. we find Ld, Hungerford possessed of it.
