The present house, which stands in its park, was built by Sir -Vincent, from whom it passed to Sir William Cockayne; but was last the estate of Will. Harvey, Esq; deceased, by inheritance from Sir Dan. Harvey. Near the house are certain springs, whose water is conveyed in leaden pipes under the road, the lands, and even the Thames, to Hampton-Court, which is 3 m.
