COMPTON-MARDOCK, (Warwickshire) 2 m. from Kington, bel. anciently to a family of the same name, till it was conveyed to K. Edw. III's concubine, Alice Perers; by whom it came in marriage to Sir Will. Windsor; whose eldest daughter carried it also in marriage to Rob. Skerne, in the R. of Hen. VI; but, in the same R. Rich. Verney, Esq; was possessed of it, and built a great part of the manor house, as it now stands, and is the seat of his descendant, Ld. Willougby of Brook.
