CUCKFIELD, (Sussex) 34 cm. 40 mm. from London. Its Mt. which was at first on M. now on F. and its Fair, which is on the eve-day and morrow after the Holy-Tritiity, were obtained of Edw. II. by the Earl of Warren and Surry, then Ld. of the manor; which being afterwards forfeited by the Earl of Arundel, to whom it came by marriage, was granted by Rich. II. to Thomas de Moubray, whom he created D. of Norfolk.
