CURRY-MALLET, (Somerset) on the N. side of Abbots-Leigh, is the next p. to Hach-Beauchamp, and so called from the Mallets,
its ancient Lds. from whom it passed by marriage to the family of Pointz, one of whom obtained a grant from Edw. II. of a
Mt. on M. and a Fair on All-Saints-day, both long since disused. In the R. of Hen. VI. it bel. to John Tiptoft Earl of
Worcester.
