FILLONGLEY-NEW, (Warwickshire) on the S. E. side of Coleshill, formerly bel. to the Hastings, and in 1640 to John Nevil Ld. Abergaveny. One of the Hastings obtained a Mt. here on M. and a Fair at Midsummer, for 5 days, both long since disused. The Hastings are supposed to have had their seat here also; because by the Ch. are the ruins of 2 castles. The parks here were purchased by Robert, ancestor of Sir Adolphus Oughton, Bt. whose family had their seat here.
