Anderson, and since of Sir Roger Newdigate; in whose family, the rectory and advowson of the vicarase have been ever since Edw. VI. 'Tis now a donative, or curacy; and tho' before the Diss. when it bel. to the hos. of St. John of Jerusalem, it was exempt from episcopal jurisdiction, it has been subject to it ever since; yet the late Sir Rich.
