HASTINGBURY, (Essex) or HALLINGBURY-GREAT, 3 m. from Bps.-Stortford, is also called Morley, because it was the manor and seat of the Lds. of a family of that name, for several successions, till Thomas Ld. Morley and Monteagle sold it to Sir Edward Turner, afterwards Ld. chief baron of the exchequer. It now is, or lately was, the seat of Mr. Houblon.
