KELSHULL, (Hertfordshire) near Royston and Odsey-Grange, was given by the Saxon K. Ethelred to the abbey of Ely; and afterwards bel. to its cathedral, till it was by the Bp. exchanged for certain tenths and advowsons in the gift of the crown, in the R. of Q. Eliz. who granted it to the city of London; but the citizens sold it afterwards to Ralph Freeman of Aspedon; from whom it came to Mr. Willimot, attorney, whose descendant conveyed it to John Pointer, late master of the affidavit-office in Chancery, father of the present possessor, Samuel Pointer.
