KINGSTON-LISLE, (Berkshire) near Wantage and White-Horse-Hill, is in the p. of Spersholt, in a fine sporting country, at
the edge of the finest part of the downs. It has an yearly Fair July 25; but is of most note for the noble family of the
Lisles its ancient Lds. to whom it gave name and title of Baron and Visc. as it has done more lately that of Visc. to the
Dudleys, and since to the Sidneys Earls of Leicester.
