KINVER, (Staffordshire) 2 m. W. of Stourbridge, 92 cm. 109 mm. from London, has an old fortification in it, and a
remarkable stone 2 yards high, and 4 yards in circumference, which is supposed to have been a British deity, or a memorial
of a battle fought here by that people; they call it Battle-Stone, or Bolt-Stone.
