LAMBORNE, UPPER and LOWER, (Berkshire) near the b. of Wilts, 49 cm. 57 mm. from London, has its name from its little r. which runs into the Kennet, and is remarkable for being high in the Summer, and low in the Winter. Its ancient Lds. the Fitz-Warrens, obtained a Mt. of Henry III. in the Lower, which is the biggest, to be kept on F. and 3 Fairs, viz. May 1, Whitson-M. Sept. 21, besides one Nw. 23. It afterwards went to the family of Essex.
