LEDSHAM, (Yorkshire, W.R.) a hamlet of Leeds. Ledsham-Hall, the manor-house, was the seat of the Hirebrods, one of whom, who was clerk of the Mt. in Ireland under the Ld.-deputy Strafford, sold it to Sir Richard Saltonstall in the R. of Cha. I. and his grandaughter carried it by marriage to Tho. Harley, brother to the late Ld.-treasurer. Here is an hos. built by Sir John Lewis, and endowed by him with 10 l. a year each for 10 aged people, who have each of them two rooms and a garden.
