PLEDGDEN, (Essex) or PRISON-HALL, in the p. of Henham, near Clavering, was held in the R. of Hen. VIII. by. Sir John Cutts, then by Hen. Turner; and in that of Jam. I. Will. Watts held it of Sir Fra. Barrington. The Ld. Crew, Bp. of Durham, had it afterwards, and left it by will to Tho. Cartwright, Esq; of Aynoe, who married his niece.
