RITON UPON DUNSMORE, (Warwickshire) has a bridge over the Avon, N. E. of Stoneley-Abbey, stands in a light sandy soil, fitter to produce rye than any other grain, and formerly bel. to the mon. of Coventry, and to the Knts. of St. John of Jerusalem; but in 1640 to Will. Dilke of Maxstoke-Castle; whose ancestor, Tho. Dilke, purchased it of Randle Crew of Lincoln's-Inn, and Rich. Cartwright of London, to whom it was passed by Q. Eliz. Here is a Fair, or rather Wake.
