fitter to produce rye than any other grain, and formerly bel. to the mon. of Coventry, and to the Knts. of St. John of
Jerusalem; but in 1640 to Will. Dilke of Maxstoke-Castle; whose ancestor, Tho. Dilke, purchased it of Randle Crew of
