SALKELDS, GREAT and LITTLE, (Cumberland) on the N. side of Penrith, are washed by the Eden. At the Lesser there is a
circle of 77 stones, each 10 feet high, and at the entrance a single one of 15 feet high, which the common people call
Long Meg and her Daughters.
