SARRE-STREET, (Kent) or SARR-STREET, in St. Nicholas p. in the Isle of Thanet, is said to have had anciently a haven; but now there only runs a small brook, with a wooden-bridge over it, by which there is a passage to the island for carriages. It was lately the manor of the White's, Rush's, and Wentworth's of Wentworth-Woodhouse. It is so near the marshes, and the air so unhealthy, that the p. has been much deserted.
