SHOCLACH, (Cheshire) on the Dee, W. of Malpas, has a small Ch. and had once a castle. It is of late only remarkable for
the fine seat, which was the mansion-house of Sir Randolph Brereton; whose heiress carried it by marriage to the Egertons
of Ridley.
