SHRAWARDEN, (Salop) near the Severn, on the W. side of Shrewsbury, had a castle, which, after having been long in the E. of Arundel's family, came in the R. of Q. Eliz. into the possession of Sir Tho. Bromley, her solicitor-general, who was afterwards Ld.-chancellor, and sate as judge at the trial of Mary Q. of Scots.
