WARLEY, GREAT and LITTLE, (Essex) near Burntwood. Part of the former bel. anciently to the abbey of Barking; but at the Diss. Henry VIII. granted the manor to Will. Goonson. It was in the family of Evelyn from 1649 to 1655, of which it was purchased by Mr. Hart, a merchant of London, who, in 1669, sold it to Rowland Wynn, of London, merchant, from whom it is descended to Mark Wynn, the present possessor.
