WAYTON, (Devon) on the r. Dart, W. of Torbay, 5 m. from Dartmouth and Totness, came from the heirs of Martin Fishacre, who
lived in the R. of Henry III. to Maynard, and passed by marriage to Will. Holway. This land was got from Rich. Holway by
one Adams, a lawyer, who parted with it to Sir Hugh Pollard, to whose father it had been mortgaged, by which means the
Pollards kept possession of it many years, before Holway recovered it by a decree in chancery.
