WINTERBORN-ABBOTS, (Dorset) on the S. side of Frampton, has an inclosure near the London road from Bridport, with a circle
of nine stones in it, from 3 to 7 feet in height, some of them broken; and about half a m. farther, on the same road, are
3 stones of 4 feet each in height; all which monuments, as it is supposed, for the dead, seem to be only petrified lumps
of flints.
