WINTRINGTON, (Lincolnshire) near Winteringham. A curious Roman pavement was lately discovered in the fields near this place, not far from the Humber, about a m. E. from the Roman road leading to Lincoln, which is here called the High- Street, it being a causey cast up to a great height, and about 7 yards broad. This is a pretty neat place, where once dwelt the worthy families of the Places and Nevils.
