Wittrishiam-College. 'Tis said the manor was formerly given to Christchurch in Canterbury. At the Diss. it was given to
Henry Crispe, whose son, Sir Nicholas, alienated it to Sir James Hales, and he to Mr. Freak, and it was sold in the R. of
James I. by Sir Tho. Freak to Sir Tho. Bishop, whose daughter carried it in marriage to Edward Alford. Here is a Fair on
