AKENHAM, a parish in the hundred of BOSMERE-and-CLAYDON,
county of SUFFOLK, 4 miles (N. by W.)
from Ipswich, containing 120 inhabitants. The living
is a discharged rectory, with that of Claydon united, in
the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich,
rated in the king's books at £9. 11. 5. The Rev.
George Drury was patron in 1807.
