ALTHORP, a parish in the western division of the wapentake of MANLEY, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 11 miles (W. by N.) from Glandford-Bridge, comprising the chapelry of Amcotts, and the township of Keadby, and containing 877 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Stow, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £25, endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £400 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Oswald.
