AMPNEY, or EASINGTON (ST-PETER), a parish
in the hundred of CROWTHORNE-and-MINETY, county
of GLOUCESTER, 4 miles (E. by S.) from Cirencester,
containing 177 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual
curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Gloucester,
endowed with £ 1600 royal bounty, and in the patronage
of the Bishop of Gloucester.
