ANDERBY, a parish in the Marsh division of the
hundred of CALCEWORTH, parts of LINDSEY, county of
LINCOLN, 4 miles (E. by S.) from Alford, containing
226 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory,
with that of Cumberworth united, in the archdeaconry
and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at
£13. 10. 2., endowed with £200 private benefaction,
and £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the
President and Fellows of Magdalene College, Cambridge.
The church is dedicated to St. Andrew.
