ASTLEY, a chapelry in that part of the parish of
ST-MARY which is within the liberties of SHREWSBURY,
county of SALOP, 5 miles (N. N. E.) from Shrewsbury,
containing 204 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual
curacy, within the jurisdiction of the court of
the royal peculiar of St. Mary in Shrewsbury, and in
the patronage of the Perpetual Curate of that parish.
