ASTON-by-SUTTON, a chapelry in the parish of RUNCORN, hundred of BUCKLOW, county palatine of CHESTER, 3 miles (E. by N.) from Frodsham, containing 197 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Chester, endowed with £200 private benefaction, £200 royal bounty, and £600 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of H. Aston, Esq. The chapel was rebuilt on an enlarged scale in 1737.
