ASTON-CLINTON, a parish in the hundred of
AYLESBURY, county of BUCKINGHAM, comprising the
chapelry of St. Leonard, and the township of Aston-
Clinton, and containing 908 inhabitants, of which
number, 723 are in the township of Aston-Clinton,
2 miles (W. by N.) from Tring. The living is a rectory,
in the archdeaconry of Buckingham, and diocese
of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £23. 6. 10.,
and in the patronage of the Principal and Fellows of
Jesus' College, Oxford. The church is dedicated to St.
Michael.
