ASTWOOD, a parish in the hundred of NEWPORT,
county of BUCKINGHAM, 5 miles (E.N. E.) from Newport-
Pagnell, containing 263 inhabitants. The living is
a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Buckingham, and diocese
of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £ 6. 6. 8.,
and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is
dedicated to St. Peter.
