BADGWORTH, a parish in the hundred of WINTERSTOKE,
county of SOMERSET, 2 miles (S. W. by W.)
from Axbridge, containing 319 inhabitants. The jiving
is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese
of Bath and Wells, rated in the king's books at £25.15.,
and in the patronage of Sir J. Mordaunt, Bart. The
church is dedicated to St. Congar.
