BADLESMERE, a parish in the hundred of FAVERSHAM, lathe of SCRAY, county of KENT, 4 miles (S.) from Faversham, containing 113 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, united to that of Leveland, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Canterbury, rated in the king's books at £5. 2., and in the patronage of Lord Sondes. The church is dedicated to St. Leonard. A fair is held here on the 6th of November.
