BADWELL-ASH, a parish in the hundred of BLACKBOURN, county of SUFFOLK, 8 miles (N. N. W.) from Stow-Market, containing 427 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich, endowed with £16 per annum private benefaction, and £800 royal bounty, and in the patronage of Miss Clough. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
