BAGTHORPE, a parish in the hundred of GALLOW,
county of NORFOLK, 7 miles (S. S. W.) from Burnham-
Westgate, containing 69 inhabitants. The living is a
discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk,
and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at
£5. 10., endowed with £400 royal bounty, and in the
patronage of Sir Charles Chad, Bart. The church is
dedicated to St. Mary.
